| Located in the Pleasant Valley area of Maryland, Grasshopper Perennials is near picturesque Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and historic Brunswick, Maryland. Our parent company is Grasshopper Garden Escapes, Inc who's been around for quite some time providing landscape design and installation in the northern Virginia and surrounding areas. Originally, we were growing the perennials for our own use on various landscaping projects, but soon many customers and friends suggested that we offer our home-grown plants to the public. Thus began Grasshopper Perennials. Most of our perennial plants are grown either from seed or cutting. Some of the newer cultivars though, are patented and cannot be propagated, so we do order plug-sized plants of those types. In an effort to keep costs low and preserve our environment, we always recycle our pots, flats, and various trays. We are quite greatful to anyone who wants to drop off their used pots at our doorstep. Our horticulturst (me actually) has been involved in this business for over 20 years, and is available for questions and design suggestions. |
